Islas Marietas Tour with Bahia Allegre: The crew was professional throughout, and the food quite good. My daughter was sea-sick most of the trip, and the crew was solicitous and helpful. Dramamine was for sale on board at a very low price. The tour operator offered snorkels and masks at the dock for sale at a reasonable price before departure as an option to using the rental equipment included in the tour price. We took the tour on December 28th, and saw 4 pods of whales and a pod of dolphins which followed the catamaran for about 10 minutes. We also saw two hawksbill turtles - one at the islands and another on the way back to Puerto Vallarta. The snorkeling was a good experience, lots of fish and a turtle in clear water over a bottom of scattered stones and corals and anemones, but the water temperatures in December were on the cold side for smaller kids. There was only enough snorkeling equipment on board for half the passengers at a time, and paddle boards and kayaks are available when not snorkeling. The beaches on the Marietas were closed, and we did not go ashore. The site did state that the beach was closed, but in the interests of transparency, the tour operator should not have photos of the beaches on their site if passengers are not permitted ashore due to beach closure.

The islas Marietas is a must if you're visiting Puerto vallarta. The staff is amazing. Breakfast and lunch provided. The your includes snorketling, paddle boarding and playa nopalera but Just be aware that they will charge an extra fee for Hidden Beach. I thought it was included since there are pictures of it on the site. Overall it was nice.
